Years of service: I started as a Broker Secretary at Old Mutual in 1998. In 2002 I took the job as Portfolio Clerk at Old Mutual. In 2006 I joined PSG as personal assistant and in 2010 I joined Karin Swart Insurance Brokers and started building my own Short-Term clientele.
Beskryf jou gesin: Getroud met Neels Terblanche vir 28 Jaar was my eerste liefde van skool is al 36 jaar saam .Ons het 2 pragtige kinders, dogter Lenize Botes getroud met Francois Botes vir 6 jaar. Hulle het die 2 pragtigste seuntjies, natuurlik ouma se liefde, Luco 5 & Franco 2. Ons seun Werner Terblanche is ‘n groot man met baie liefde en baie talent en ʼn kop vir besigheid.
Describe your family: Married to Neels Terblanche for 28 years. We dated while still at school and know each other for 36 years. We have 2 beautiful children, daughter Lenize Botes married Francois Botes for 6 years. They have the 2 most precious boys and Luco and Franco are the love of my life. Our son Werner Terblanche is a big man with a lot of love and a lot of musical talent and a head for business.

Wat maak jou gelukkig: My man Neels en my kinders en my pragtige twee bederfies Luco en Franco net om saam hulle te wees is vir my soos vrede vreugde en liefde onbeskryflik, My huis die plaas die beeste en om te kan doen wat ek kan vir my mense om my. Om te kan reis en die wêreld te kan sien saam met my man Neels.
What makes you happy: Spending time with my husband Neels, my children and my beautiful two grandsons – Luco and Franco; I love being at home on the farm among the animals; I want to be surrounded with people, helping and assisting them. Neels and I love to travel.
Wat maak jou hartseer/angstig: Mense wat jou misbruik en jou net nodig het wanneer dit hulle pas. Agterbaksheid en om soms nie self in beheer van sekere goed te kan wees nie. As jy weet jy gee jou beste en kliënte sien nie jou goeie diens en kwaliteite raak nie. Mense wat jou onwelkom laat voel of nie deel maak.
What makes you sad / anxious: People who abuse you and only need you when it suits them. Backwardness and sometimes being unable to control certain things yourself. If you know you are giving your best and clients do not see your good service and qualities. People who make you feel unwelcome.
Wat behels jou werk: Ek is ʼn Korttermyn makelaar en my motto is om goeie diens te lewer om my kliënte eerste te stel en seker te maak dat die produk wat ek lewer voldoende is vir my kliënte se behoeftes en dat hulle net die beste van my kan ontvang en op my staat kan maak in tye van nood.
What does your job entail: I am a Short Term Broker and my motto is to provide good service to put my clients first and make sure that the product I deliver is adequate for my client’s needs. I want clients to rely on me in their times of need.
Watter deel van jou werk geniet jy die meeste: Wanneer jy ʼn oproep van ʼn kliënt ontvang wat so dankbaar is vir dit wat jy vir hom gedoen het en hulle dankbaar is vir jou goeie diens.
What part of your job do you enjoy most: When you receive a call from a customer who is so grateful for your service.
Watter deel van jou werk geniet jy die minste: Wanneer ek soveel moeite met ʼn kliënt doen en hy dit nie sien nie en net sy polis kanselleer vir premie sonder om jou te kontak. Of as jy soveel tyd en aandag aan ʼn kliënt gee wat ook net besluit hulle neem eerder ʼn polis op ʼn ander plek.
What part of your job do you enjoy the least: It saddens me when a client leaves my Brokerage and move to another without consulting me or after I put in so much effort to assist.
Wat is jou drome vir die toekoms: Om my familie gelukkig te sien dat elkeen ʼn goeie lewens maat het en dat God se hand oor elkeen van hulle kan wees in die toekoms. Dat ek en Neels nog lank gespaar kan wees vir mekaar dat ons die kleinkinders kan geniet. Dat die plaaslewe met beeste en kinders gevul word. Dat ek en Neels nog die wêreld kan sien en goeie gesondheid kan hê.
What are your dreams for the future: To have a happy, healthy and content family. I want us to be blessed and live happily ever after. I want us to live our dreams and even in bad times, to be there for one another. I hope Neels and myself will grow old together and be able to enjoy our grandchildren, seeing them growing up and playing a vital part in their lives. The farm must prosper, Neels and I must often travel all over the world.
Wat se Karin van Everlyn: Eve is soos ‘n stoompot, sy floreer onder druk. As ‘n kliënt ‘n eis het, ry sy self om foto’s te gaan neem. Sy is baie hands on en dit maak haar kliënte baie lojaal. Eve se man en kinders is die spil waarom haar lewe en geluk draai. Sy is baie sosiaal en kosmaak is een van haar natuurlike talente, moeiteloos en heerlik!!
What’s Karin from Everlyn: Eve is like a pressure cooker; she thrives under pressure. If a client has a claim, she rushes to the client to assist. She is very hands on and this makes her clients very loyal. Eve’s husband and children are at the centre of her life and happiness. She is very social and cooking is one of her natural talents, effortless and delicious!!
